If you have planned a baby shower near Valentine's day, it might be fun to celebrate your love for each other by having a valentine's day themed baby shower. Decorations for this type of party should be festive and look and feel like Valentine's day. You could decorate the room with pink and red hearts. You could cut them out of construction paper and scatter them around the room and furniture. Your table settings could be red and pink and if you can find heart shaped plates that would be perfect. The food for a party such as this would also be very indicative of love. You could bake cookies in the shapes of hearts or make finger foods shaped like hearts. You could also put out an assortment of roses, which are the flowers of love. A fun idea would be to cut out a huge heart and have everyone who attend the party sign it. Then a few years later, you could show your child so that they could see everyone who attending his or her baby shower. Invites for a Valentine's Day themed baby shower could be very cute. The baby shower invitations could be heart-shaped and red. Something else you could do would be to attach small chocolates to the inside of the baby shower invitations to give the guests a more Valentine's Day-like feel.
