Halloween is celebrated on the last day of October in Europe and most commonly in North America. Having its roots deep in history this one holiday is very much loved among children who can go trick or treating in their spooky costumes. While some people like to celebrate Halloween by watching horror movies and narrating ghost stories others like to go out and enjoy hallowing in all its spirit. Bonfires, haunted attractions ad special costume parties are the main activities which are followed on this day. This holiday is associated with dead and all the supernatural powers. All saints day is celebrated the day following Halloween. The origin of Halloween is associated with the Celt tribal and is centuries old. Jack-o-lantern is the undisputed symbol of this holiday finding a place in almost all homes. Colorful and ghostly costumes are another obsession that is synonym to Halloween. Children like to dress up as witches, vampires, cats, bats and ghosts and go trick or treating in their neighborhood. Halloween is a time to honor the souls of the departed. Besides making a place for the soul of their loved ones at the dining table people leave tricks at their doorstep to tell the departed souls that they are still missed. With so many party ideas on the internet the fun never seems to stop at this holiday. The favorite Halloween food is apple candy as this is the season of apple harvest.
