Christian Wedding Ceremony

A marriage in all religions is about the union of two souls with the blessings of the almighty. In Christian community marriages are part of their faith and so the marriage ceremony should be conducted in utmost respect.

Along with the pre marriage arrangements the marriage ceremony holds a special place in everyone’s heart. The couple agrees to tie the knot in the presence of the God before a pastor, minister or priest to officiate the marriage. The ceremony usually takes in churches but some prefer to have them in beautiful parks or gardens. Traditionally the best time to get married is in the summer and spring season as these seasons symbolize a new life. June after the Roman Goddess Juno is the most auspicious month to tie the knot.

The bride mostly wears a white wedding gown along with a long train and a veil to cover her head. Traditionally bridesmaids usually wear similar dresses as the bride to puzzle the troubling spirits. The father of the bride leads the bride on the aisle and walks over to the groom agreeing to give his darling daughter to her groom.
After exchanging vows, the wedding rings are exchanged and the couple is blessed by a priest with the declaration of marriage. To officiate the marriage the couple signs in the marriage register. Christian music fills up the air through the ceremony. The bride then throws her wedding bouquet over the shoulder and the lucky woman grabs it to be the next bride.

The ceremony is followed by a reception for friends and guests and the couple then leaves for their honeymoon after having their first dance as husband and wife.

The Christian wedding ceremonies are sweet little affairs with everything surrounding it having a symbolic reference.
